How NOC pricing units work
Use only the units that apply to the quoted service.
- Per device or endpoint - use the proposal's inventory definition. Workstations, servers, network appliances and other monitored items may have separate quantities and rates. List which items are included, how duplicates are handled and which tools or actions the rate covers.
- Per site - flat per client location; verify what happens to multi-tenant or remote-worker-heavy clients.
- Per alert - aligns cost to noise; invites disputes over deduplication and alert-storm treatment. Verify suppression rules in writing.
- Per hour - for overflow, projects or out-of-scope work; verify minimum increments and after-hours multipliers.
- Per engineer or dedicated seat - quote the agreed staff capacity, shift schedule, seniority and absence cover. Preserve the stated rate period and invoice calendar.
- Adaptive activity fee - an initial flat fee may be reviewed against ticket volumes and environment changes. INOC describes this model; agree the starting workload, review dates and adjustment approval.
- Retainer - a fixed recurring charge for listed work, with explicit inventory or activity limits and additional-work charges.

| HEX64 serverCare Prepare questions | $49.99/server/month; annual display $539.89/year | 24/7 monitoring, shared Tier 2 support and 8x5 break-fix. Billing unit: server/month; annual counting unit needs confirmation. | Source / 2026-11-06 (external website) Monthly-unit FAQ / 2026-11-06 (external website) |
The remote-helpdesk FAQ supplies the monthly device, endpoint and server units. The pricing page separately displays annual amounts without an explicit counting unit. Confirm that unit, included quantities and MSP resale applicability before calculating an annual estate cost. endpointCare remains an 8x5 package; the broader remote-helpdesk page also describes a custom 24/7 service.
Benchmark365: NOC work allowances
Benchmark365 publishes USD starting prices for three NOC plans. Unlimited endpoints, users and ticket intake sit alongside separate customer-environment and completed-work allowances.
| Plan | Starting amount and allowance | Source |
|---|---|---|
| NOC Launch Prepare questions | USD 990/month starting price. Includes 3 customer environments and 10 investigations per month, with email intake. Endpoint, user and ticket intake is advertised as unlimited; completed work is capped by the plan allowances. | NOC plans / 2026-10-17 (external website) |
| NOC Connect Prepare questions | USD 2,990/month starting price. Includes 10 customer environments, 25 investigations and 10 remediations per month, plus live two-way PSA integration. Major Incident Response is an add-on; unlimited tickets do not mean unlimited completed work. | NOC plans / 2026-10-17 (external website) |
| NOC Enterprise Prepare questions | USD 9,990/month starting price for customized scope, with unlimited approved customer environments. The page lists contractual SLA alignment, compliance agreements and a named-resources option; investigation and remediation quantities need a written scope. | NOC plans / 2026-10-17 (external website) |
Confirm extra-work charges and the definition of an investigation or remediation. These monthly price displays do not specify the NOC commitment or notice period. Security incident response is described through Major Incident Response on Connect and Enterprise.
Sherweb: two operating scopes and billing units
The current NOC SOW separates provider-operated NOC from first-line handling inside the partner RMM. Each requires its own quoted unit and scope.
| Service | Published charging basis | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Core NOC on Sherweb tools Prepare questions | Core NOC uses a quoted flat monthly fee per covered device. The SOW says the full monthly amount is charged regardless of days active in that billing period; no numeric rate is given. | NOC SOW / 2026-10-17 / PDF p. 12 (external website) |
| Partner-RMM first-line monitoring Prepare questions | RMM Monitoring uses a fee per ticket and the partner RMM. Its numeric rate, billable-ticket definition, reopenings and minimum volume need an order-specific answer. | NOC SOW / 2026-10-17 / PDF p. 3 (external website) |
The NOC schedule states a 12-month minimum, remaining-term fees on early convenience exit and a separate termination effective date. Check the actual SKU, scope and commitment before comparing a per-device offer with a per-ticket offer.
LTVplus: managed seats and the billing calendar
LTVplus prices the service by seats and coverage. Its monthly starting display is different from a complete staffed 24/7 quote.
| Service | Advertised starting figure and conditions | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Managed NOC - NOC seat Prepare questions | The advertised starting figure is $3,000 per NOC seat/month. Confirm required staffed seats, billing currency and the invoice calendar. General terms describe four-week billing, so obtain the controlling order before calculating a yearly total. | Managed NOC service / 2026-10-18 (external website) Public terms dated 13 August 2026 / 2026-10-18 (external website) |
The public terms describe four-week billing and an initial three-month payment commitment. Resolve the actual rate and calendar before entering a normalized monthly charge. The pricing page advertises no setup fees and no exit penalties; confirm advance payments, minimum-term payments, notice and the current billing cycle in the order.
Quote bases and entry terms
| Provider / service | Published basis | Entry or contract condition | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| INOC Managed / white-label NOC - configured scope Prepare questions | INOC describes device-based quotes or an adaptive flat fee based on observed NOC activity. The initial fee considers device mix, ticket demand and integration work; the adaptive model is reviewed quarterly. No numeric rate or currency is stated. | Request the order term and notice. | NOC pricing and FAQ / 2026-11-06 (external website) |
| NOC 24/7 Managed MSP NOC Prepare questions | Per endpoint per month; no numeric rate is shown on the reviewed pricing page. | No setup fee on standard onboarding; confirm whether the proposed setup is standard. | Source / 2026-10-15 (external website) |
| Infrassist Managed MSP NOC Prepare questions | Fixed monthly pricing tied to devices; no numeric rate is shown on the reviewed NOC page. | Not published. | Source / 2026-11-06 (external website) |
| Mission Control NOC Configurable NOC Prepare questions | NOC and help desk offered by device and time; no numeric rate in the reviewed FAQ. | The FAQ describes a 90-day termination clause. The Canada and US MSAs provide 90-day notice for convenience unless the Service Order or SOW specifies otherwise; confirm the applicable order. | Source / 2026-10-15 (external website) Canada / US MSA / 2026-10-16 (external website) |
| Uptime / Inbay Channel-only NOC Prepare questions | Fixed monthly cost is described; no numeric rate on the reviewed NOC page. | The NOC brochure requires an onboarding fee to reserve an onboarding slot. The amount is not shown in the brochure. | Source / 2026-10-15 (external website) Source / 2026-10-16 / PDF p. 23 (external website) |
| Kaseya Endpoint NOC for MSP personnel Prepare questions | Covered endpoints require NOC licenses. Fees, license pools and monthly or annual advance payment are described; amounts are order-specific. | Scoping and onboarding fees apply as set out in the order; no amount is given in the reviewed terms. | Source / 2026-11-06 (external website) |
Worksent NOC: Minimum of 50 devices for the NOC service. The NOC service page says month-to-month, while the general partnership FAQ describes a standard three-month term. Global BrainForce: annual staff figures
These are dedicated staff purchases. Your MSP keeps service delivery, client contact and its SLA. Quote the actual staffed rota and absence cover alongside the annual role display before comparing it with a managed service.
| Staff role | Published annual figure | Request the staffed scope |
|---|---|---|
| NOC Analyst - MSP-directed staff | USD 25,560 per year for US quotes; AUD 35,400 per year for AU quotes, in the supplier column of the MSP role table. Obtain the actual staffed rota, seniority and full quote. These are annual seat figures, not an hourly or 24x7 service tariff. MSP roles, annual price table and FAQ / 2026-11-06 (external website) | Prepare questions Download staff brief (.md) |
The public staffing terms (external website), checked 2026-11-06, describe monthly invoicing based on hours worked and accepted USD/EUR currencies. Agree the applicable order's billing basis, currency, included employment costs and staffed window before entering a complete calendar-month charge in the quote comparison. The annual USD/AUD displays are kept in their original units here.
A request link starts with the named service and its published conditions. Add your requirements before sending it. To compare proposals, use one workload, service window and responsibility boundary. Enter the full written quote, including minimums and one-time fees, in the quote comparison worksheet.
Unlimited intake is not unlimited completed work
An unlimited device or ticket count can coexist with a monthly work allowance. Benchmark365's NOC plans (external website), checked 17 October 2026, list Connect from USD 2,990/month with 10 customer environments, 25 investigations and 10 remediations. Extra investigations, remediations and customer environments are separate add-ons. An unlimited-customer add-on is also listed; its price is not published on that page.
Apply the allowance to a proposed workload
Illustrative demand, not observed provider performance: ten approved customer environments, 30 billable investigations and 12 billable remediations in one month. These are assumed counts after applying the supplier's unit definitions; they are not a claim that 42 distinct incidents occurred.
| Item | Published Connect allowance | Illustrative monthly demand | Amount still to quote |
|---|---|---|---|
| Customer environments | 10 | 10 | None above this environment allowance |
| Investigations | 25 | 30 | 5 additional investigations |
| Remediations | 10 | 12 | 2 additional remediations |
The USD 2,990 starting figure alone cannot price that demand. Obtain the add-on rates and any other required fees before entering a complete monthly charge in the quote comparison. The published plan does not show whether unused work rolls over or how the supplier counts repeated signals, reopened cases and a remediation that follows an investigation.
Ask the supplier to price the same incident set, then explain the resulting billable counts. Confirm who approves additional work, what happens when an allowance is exhausted and who owns an incident while commercial approval is pending. A larger number of customer environments alone does not prove that Enterprise is necessary: the FAQ offers environment add-ons for Launch and Connect.
Use the Connect service brief for its exact scope and proposal questions. Keep the contracted work allowance beside the price when comparing it with an endpoint tariff or a dedicated engineer.
What actually drives a NOC quote
- Monitored scope - endpoint, server, network device counts and their mix.
- Alert volume and noise ratio - ask how noise, suppression and alert-storm handling affect the quoted fee and retained work.
- Included actions - monitoring-only, triage, or remediation to defined depth. The same endpoint count with remediation included is a different product.
- Coverage window - 24x7 staffed is a different cost base than business-hours-plus-on-call.
- Escalation design - how much lands back on your team (and what that costs you internally).
- Stack - confirm supported workflows, onboarding effort and any setup fees or exclusions.
- Security requirements - audit trails, named accounts, your-tenant access, certifications.
- Onboarding complexity - runbook maturity, client count, documentation state.
Compare two quotes
Enter monthly charges normalized to the same workload in the two-quote worksheet. Keep each proposal’s original unit, rate and invoice calendar in its notes. The worksheet applies the service minimum before retained MSP management cost, then adds one-time costs to year one. Blank charges remain unknown. Use the three-quote tool for rate-and-quantity comparisons.
Save a worksheet file to continue later. Review the restored assumptions and recalculate.
Use the blank provider response workbook to collect each candidate's prices, scope and assumptions.
Minimums, setup, overage, term - the checklist
- Minimum monthly commitment - amount, and what happens below it.
- Setup and onboarding - amount, what it covers, refund treatment on early exit. (Some reviewed sources describe no standard setup or onboarding fee; confirm the included work and exceptions in a current quote.)
- Overage - rate, measurement period, notification before billing.
- After-hours or holiday premiums - if the window is not flat.
- Contract term and renewal - auto-renew notice windows.
- Price change rules - annual increases, indexation, re-rate triggers on volume change.
- Exit - notice period, final invoice treatment, transition assistance charges.
- Taxes - stated where applicable.
Before annualizing, align the invoice calendar. The tools use normalized calendar-month charges; a four-week quote needs its own conversion and invoice schedule.
First-year versus recurring
Compare these separately - a low recurring price with heavy onboarding is a different year-one than the reverse:
year_one = (recurring_monthly * 12) + onboarding + transition_costs
recurring_annual = recurring_monthly * 12
Worked example - invented inputs
Illustration of normalization only; these are not market rates. Provider A quotes a 2,000 base plus 6 per endpoint; provider B quotes 9 per endpoint with a 3,000 minimum. At 800 endpoints: A = 2,000 + 6 * 800 = 6,800 per month; B = max(3,000, 9 * 800) = 7,200 per month. At 250 endpoints: A = 3,500; B = max(3,000, 2,250) = 3,000 - the minimum controls and B is cheaper. Same two quotes, opposite answers at different volumes: this is why normalization uses your volumes, including where you expect to be at renewal.
For full scenario modeling - internal versus outsourced versus hybrid, year-one versus recurring, sensitivity to your assumptions - use the calculator; it applies the same arithmetic with every formula visible.
Vendor questions
- What is the exact unit definition, and which item types bill at which rates?
- What is included at that rate - monitoring, triage, remediation to what depth?
- What are the minimum, the overage rate and the measurement period?
- Which onboarding charges apply, and if you advertise no setup fee, is that written into the contract?
- What triggers a re-rate - volume bands, scope change, annual indexation?
- What do prorating, credits and the final invoice look like at exit?
FAQ
How much do NOC services cost?
Benchmark365's managed NOC plans start at USD 990 a month for Launch, USD 2,990 for Connect and USD 9,990 for Enterprise. The first two include defined customer and work allowances; Enterprise has a custom scope. Other published prices buy different things:
- HEX64 careBasic monitoring is $4.99 per device per month; serverCare is $49.99 per server per month. These public support packages do not establish MSP resale terms.
- LTVplus advertises NOC staff seats from $3,000 per seat per month, while its general terms describe four-week billing.
- Global BrainForce lists a NOC Analyst at USD 25,560 per year, working on your rota under your supervision.
Source dates and full conditions are in the tables above. Compare prices only after the devices, hours, permitted fixes, billing calendar and work retained by your MSP match.
Why might a NOC quote require discovery?
The same endpoint count can represent very different work: monitoring-only versus remediation, quiet environments versus alert storms, business hours versus staffed 24x7. Request a scoped quote and make every candidate answer the same sheet.
Is an outsourced NOC cheaper than in-house?
It can be, depending on the quote and retained costs. Test whether coverage, rather than workload, drives your staffing (compare the modeled coverage floor with workload FTE). Run both models on the same workload, coverage and actual quote assumptions.
