Start with the actual purchase
This comparison starts with Helpt Starter, which lists 50 tickets, and HelpDesk.tech Premium User Support. Helpt also offers Growth and Scale ticket plans. HelpDesk.tech Concierge reception and Enterprise dedicated teams are separate purchases. Use the full pricing guide to examine the other choices.
Helpt may fit a ticket-based proposal when you can define the billable request and maintain executable runbooks, including the work your own engineers accept back. Its familiar-technician pod does not specify exclusive headcount for each shift.
Premium may fit a workstation-based proposal when you can enumerate the supported equipment and agree the seat band, charging period and included work. It lists a small assigned pod and intake/mentor roles, rather than a quantified allocation of full-time exclusive engineers.
Compare the selected service conditions
| Decision | Helpt Starter - 50 tickets | HelpDesk.tech Premium User Support - workstation seat |
|---|---|---|
| Price figure and billing unit | Starter lists 50 tickets for $2,750/month and a displayed $55/ticket. The page also lists $2,500 onboarding and a 12-month engagement. The currency, excess-ticket rate and rollover need confirmation. Current ticket plans / 2026-11-06 (external website) | The Premium card defines one seat as a workstation plus peripherals. Per-seat figures are $38 at 100+, $28 at 200+, $24 at 300+, $22 at 400+, $19 at 500+ and $18 at 1000+. The seat figures do not state their billing period or currency. | Contact and ticket intake | Requests arrive by phone, email or the customer ticketing system. Set the call identity, intake routing, priority and handoff workflow in the service order. Intake and escalation process / 2026-11-06 (external website) | Premium lists inbound/outbound phone, chat, SMS and remote-control support, alongside intake and coordination. Agree identity checks, routing and permitted remote actions. Partner intake, user support and team pricing / 2026-11-06 (external website) |
| Purchased coverage window | The ticket plans list 24x7x365 frontline coverage. Agree the purchased channels, escalation availability, holiday handling and service targets. Current ticket plans / 2026-11-06 (external website) | Premium advertises 8am-5pm support. | Commitment and renewal | The ticket plans advertise a 12-month engagement. Monthly charging is not a monthly exit right; the order and general terms govern the purchased term and renewal. Current ticket plans / 2026-11-06 (external website) Terms section 11(a) / 2026-11-06 (external website) | The White Label Partner Terms leave duration to the signed MSA and renew for like terms. Use the comparison method to distinguish a published condition from measured service quality.
Download the two-service quote brief (.md) - take these service conditions and blank requirement fields into your own quote request.
The table keeps each service's own source date. It describes published conditions; it does not report a service test or a customer-performance ranking. The request selects only Starter and Premium, so you can add one common workload before asking for two proposals.
Read the prices in their own units
Helpt's current ticket pricing (external website) lists monthly package amounts, a separate onboarding fee and a 12-month engagement. The displayed package amount divided by included tickets is not a published excess-ticket rate. Obtain the excess charge, unused-volume treatment and the currency behind the dollar symbol.
HelpDesk.tech's Premium pricing (external website) defines a seat as a workstation plus peripherals. Its seat figures range by quantity, while their own billing period and currency remain unstated. Obtain the applicable band, enrolled quantity, payment calendar and complete invoice. Concierge's separate annual-paid monthly starting figure does not supply Premium's billing period.
Give both providers one inventory and demand history. For an invented estate of 100 people and 125 workstations, include both quantities in the brief. Then request ordinary and busy-month quotes using the same ticket categories and staffed window. Premium's workstation count need not equal the people count; Helpt's billable ticket count need not equal the number of arrivals. Keep any retained out-of-hours work beside the supplier charge in the quote worksheet.
Ticket counting and fair use answer different questions
Helpt's service scope (external website) counts investigation and calls with gathered details, including escalations and an investigated request that needs no further action. Only a narrowly defined item safely closed straight from the queue, without opening it or making secondary checks, may count as 0.1. Ask which call definition and counting rule govern your order, and use the worked counting example to prepare the workload.
HelpDesk.tech's White Label Partner Terms (external website) describe consequences above daily ratios of 3% and 7% of supported seats. Its separate MSP-program terms (external website) use running-average windows and different consequences. These are fair-use conditions, not included ticket allowances. Identify the incorporated document, measurement window, denominator and treatment of a busy day before comparing capacity.
Decide who handles work beyond the boundary
Helpt's service scope calls for executable workflows or direct article links, with access, expected results and rollback steps. It says technicians do not search the customer's knowledge base for a relevant procedure. Changed workflows need notification and three business days to update. Agree the owner of those links and the receiving engineer when a documented step fails.
For Premium, establish the permitted remote actions and the applicable support schedule. The public partner documents distinguish end-user support from systems administration, projects and monitoring. Assign the retained technical escalation before opening the queue. A supported phone or chat channel does not make every request resolvable within that purchase.
Use the same authorized cases in a help desk pilot: one routine request, one identity-sensitive action and one case that must return to your MSP. Document accepted handoffs and actual retained work alongside each outcome.
Compare the commitment and final service day
Helpt's ticket page advertises a 12-month engagement. Its general terms leave the purchased duration to the order and describe renewal and document precedence. Obtain the order, notice route, remaining fees and final export arrangements.
HelpDesk.tech's public MSP-program and White Label Partner Terms describe different term and renewal arrangements. Resolve the incorporated document and amendments, then price the actual exit scenario. A monthly price or annual payment option does not itself establish a monthly cancellation right.
The complete Helpt profile and HelpDesk.tech profile retain the separate services and source details. For more candidates, use the provider directory and white-label helpdesk guide.
