MSP SERVICE DELIVERY / BUYER RESEARCH

ScienceSoft MSP Help Desk Review

An MSP considering ScienceSoft should first decide which support boundary it wants to buy. Outsourcing a first-line queue, sharing more advanced ticket work and adding infrastructure operations create different responsibilities. This review organizes published evidence around that decision. We have not operated or independently tested the service.

What the MSP offer says

The official MSP help desk page distinguishes L1, L1-L2 and NOC options under its white-label offer. It describes either MSP-owned or provider ticketing, and lists several support languages. Its quote basis depends on support level, coverage and expected request volume. Reviewed 2026-10-06.

The page presents ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 statements. They remain provider claims in this review; certificate validity and the scope covering your service are not independently validated. Its published customer examples are evidence of what the provider reports about those engagements, not a guaranteed result for another MSP.

Keep help desk and NOC requirements separate

Responsibility you want to transfer Write into the request Test before expanding
First-line end-user requests Included request types and escalation owner Routine ticket plus an excluded action
Shared L1-L2 work A task-level split with your engineers Ticket crossing the agreed boundary
Infrastructure monitoring Asset classes and permitted remediation Alert with approval and rollback steps
Multilingual support Language, channel and staffed window A request in each required combination

Do not infer that every language is available for every support tier at every hour. Ask for a coverage matrix. If your clients need both user support and infrastructure response, request two clear service schedules with a documented handoff between them.

Prepare representative ticket examples with sensitive details removed. Show what information a technician receives, what a successful resolution looks like, and which application vendors or client administrators remain outside the outsourced team's control. Include one poorly documented ticket to test the exception process.

Your PSA or a provider system?

A choice of ticketing system creates a procurement decision. Working in your PSA can simplify the system of record, but it still needs scoped access and tested field mappings. A separate provider system needs rules for synchronization, ownership, attachments, timestamps and export.

Ask where the authoritative incident record lives and which party can change severity or close it. Test a ticket created in each permitted channel, then trace updates and handoffs. An integration that works for a simple new ticket can still fail on a reopened ticket or retry.

Use the integration worksheet to retain the permissions, retry behavior and audit evidence. Before access is granted, identify how to revoke it without losing the MSP's client history or open work.

Pricing requires a comparable workload

No current service-specific currency rate is established by this profile. Request a quote against the same dated volume, support level, hours and channel mix you send to other candidates. Separate recurring fees from onboarding and change work. Ask how short handling tasks, complex investigations, abandoned calls and reopened requests are counted.

If a quote includes an allowance, require the allowance definition, overage unit and minimum commitment. An hourly quote needs a billable-time rule. Compare year-one cost and retained internal escalation effort with the pricing guide and cost calculator. Avoid converting a customer case metric into a staffing assumption for your own estate.

Pilot evidence to request

Agree the severity clocks and acceptance criteria before the first ticket. Include identity verification, an approved remote action, an action requiring client approval, a missing knowledge article and a delayed internal escalation. Record the actor and timestamps for each case.

Ask for a sample report you can reconcile to the source tickets. A first response, mitigation and final resolution are different events; use the SLA worksheet to keep them separate. Check the escalation route during the proposed staffed window and the transition back to your retained team.

Contract term, minimum, complete fee schedule, exact named PSA/RMM compatibility, service-specific staffing and processing locations remain questions for the proposal. The company information does not replace a scoped agreement.
